Fake fingerprints and faces - making of
PRA Lab has developed a high-level skill on replicating fingerprints by very common materials, thus obtaining finger replica whose characteristic are similar to those of the finger skin and can deceive a standard fingerprint recognition system if it is not equipped of a particular liveness detection algorithm. Fingerprint Spoofing Challenge
This video shows the demo used in the Fingerprint Spoofing Challenge held in Madrid during the ICB 2013 conference (June, 4-7). The system is capable of verify a person claimed identity by comparing his fingerprint with a previously acquired one. But, if the liveness detection module is on, it is also able to detect a false fingerprint. Read more...

Real time person Re-Identification
It consists of recognising a person who was previously observed over a camera network, using soft cues like the clothing appearance. It can provide useful tools for video-surveillance (for example on-line tracking of individuals over different cameras; off-line retrieval of the video sequences containing a person of interest). It is able to re-identify people in real-time, combining soft cues extracted from both RGB and Depth domains. Read more...

Intelligent Face Logger
This tool shows the possibility to extract several informations (useful to an operator of video surveillance) about the people crossing a supervised environment. The main box of the application displays the scene we want to keep under survelliance, while on the right side are shown all the information that the system is able to extrapolate by the context along the time. Image Hunter
Image Hunter is a prototype to show the capabilities of a Content Based Image Retrieval system which uses the Query by Example method together with a Relevance Feedback system. The proposed system is queried by a sample image (query by example) instead of using  keywords or tags. Starting from this query image the system output the images more "similar" to the query image. Image Spam Plugins: BayesOCR Vs Image Cerberus
Image spam is a kind of spam in which the text message is embedded into attached images to circumvent filtering modules based on the analysis of e-mails' body text. Our approaches proposed against ImageSpam: BayerOCR plugin, an OCR-based filter, where text embedded into images is extracted through OCR tools and analyzed using statistical text categorization techniques; Image Cerberus plugin, able to detect the presence of obfuscated text embedded into an image.
