Fingerprint vitality detection, quality evaluation and forensics: data sets

A large fingerprint data set for "liveness" (or vitality) detection has been collected in cooperation with the Biomedical Signal Laboratory of Clarkson University, leaded by Prof. Stephanie Schuckers.

This data set is made up of 12000 live and fake fingerprint images collected with three different optical sensors.

Further details are available at the website of "First Fingerprint Liveness Detection Competition LivDet09", where this data set will be adopted for evaluating the performance of algorithms submitted by competitors.
