Zahid Akhtar

Zahid Akhtar got a M.Sc degree in Electronics at the University of Pune (India). From Jan. 2008 to Jan. 2009 he joined PRA Group for a one-year fellowship awarded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (under a memorandum with the Indian Republic Ministry for Science and Technology for financing research fellowships for young Indian researchers). He was working on a project related to form processing. His objective was to develop methods for form removal and character reconstruction. Since January 2009- March 2012 he was a PhD student of the research Group on Pattern Recognition and Applications in the Computer Science field at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari (Italy). His research is focused on Biometric Systems.
