Lorenzo Putzu

PhD, Research Associate at PRA Lab.

Lorenzo Putzu received the BS degree, the MS degree and the PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cagliari, in 2010, 2012 and 2016, respectively. During the PhD studies his research was focused on the analysis and classification of medical and biomedical images in order to provide an automatic or semiautomatic diagnosis to support the medical activity. Such research has led to various publications and to the final thesis Computer aided diagnosis algorithms for digital microscopy. In 2016 he obtained a research fellowship at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Cagliari, in order to continue his research on these topic.

From 2017 he is research associate at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of the University of Cagliari and he collaborates with PraLab on topics related to the analysis and automatic classification of multimedia documents.
